چکیده
Since its emergence in 2019, RT-PCR is a standard test for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 viral infection (COVID-19). Chest-CT scans are preferred most common routine to determine spread and severity disease. The present study aims demonstrate comparative analysis chest CT as diagnostic tests COVID-19 detection. In this prospective single-center total 979 patients (Male= 614, female= 365) from Tumkur, Karnataka (India) who were suspected novel coronavirus underwent both assay.Patients with positive abnormalities images identified. negative chest-CT vice versa screened accuracy techniques. Out patients, 674 (68.85%) had index scores, whereas 613 (62.61%) tests. Most (47%) age group 36-55 years population having hypertension (8.27%) diabetes (6.44%). Corad score revealed 88.36% (865) high infection. reports (31.15%; 305/979), was observed 7.25% indicating higher sensitivity technique. A scan superior than that RT-PCR. can be used asa confirmatory suspects whose results negative.

Introduction: The new coronavirus, known as severe coronavirus syndrome (SARS-CoV2), is a viral pneumonia caused by an emerging virus that causes Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) (1). The etiology and pathology of the disease are not known exactly, but it has been reported to enter host cells by the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE2). (2) The range of clinical symptoms of the disease var...
متن کاملDiagnostic value of chest CT in Iranian patients with suspected COVID-19
Background: In the current COVID-19 pandemic, there is a rising need for a rapid and reliable diagnostic tool. We hypothesized that chest computed tomography (CT) can be a potential alternative for reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The aim of this study was to compare the diagnostic value of chest CT and RT-PCR in Iranian patients with suspected COVID-19. Methods: In a...
